Not a very imaginative name for this painting unless you like Scotch. A trip to Maine brought out the seascape artist in me. This scene was just too much to pass up with the naturally occurring linear lines of the rocks along with the foggy atmosphere. I've never spent much time up in the northern part of the United States so I'm always a sucker for the typical scenes.

Vaughn Cochran

Regarded as one of the best and more innovative artists in the world of

oil and watercolor, ceramic sculpture, art pottery, printmaking, intaglio,
silkscreen, woodcarving, batik and metal working and casting.

His contemporary sporting art reflects the world of professional fishing
where Vaughn was a fly-fishing guide for many years. “In my travels, I always
had my camera and sketch book”, says Vaughn “I’ve filled several journals with
ideas and notes for paintings and sculptures that revolve around fish and life
on the water.”
