Ocean Permit Ltd Edition Giclee on Paper

Ocean Permit is a looser interpretation of the way I normally use the paint. I like this painting a lot and it's fun to look at because of the lack of detail. A view looking up out in the open ocean like you might see off the keys fishing the permit spawn. I've seen thousands of permit schooled up out there but it's only fun for a while because they're so easy to catch. Many a record has been set fishing in these schools every spring. In my opinion those records shouldn't count. The original oil painting is currently on display in the 19th National Exhibition of the American Society of Marine Artists in the Albany NY Institute of History and Art. There are only 113 artists worldwide who have been selected to participate in this curated exhibition. The show will be up until December 31st of 2023 and then travels to the Minnesota Marine Art Museum from Jan to May 12th, 2024. The original painting is currently available but not deliverable until the end of the show in May.
