Gorda Cay is a small island off the mainland of Abaco island now also know as the Disney Island or Castaway Key. The Disney cruise ships stop there to let people off the boat to experience what they call an island experience. On the back side of the Disney island is some pretty damn good fishing, especially for permit. The water is as clear as Bimini water and right on the edge of a deep water drop off. This is a fairly photo realistic painting but if you look closely you can see the brush strokes and paint blobs. I like the shadow on this one.

Vaughn Cochran

Regarded as one of the best and more innovative artists in the world of

where Vaughn was a fly-fishing guide for many years. “In my travels, I always
had my camera and sketch book”, says Vaughn “I’ve filled several journals with
ideas and notes for paintings and sculptures that revolve around fish and life
on the water.”
