This oil painting was a commissioned piece I did because of the challenge the owner presented to me. He wanted a tarpon jumping out of the water but from the guide's perspective. It had to be an effective painting when viewed up close and it had to work when viewed from afar. I think I nailed it myself. This painting was also the study for the Bright Series Tarpon Explosion acrylic painting. The original owner has since passed away and the painting was resold on the aftermarket.
