Welcome to the Vaughn Cochran Saltwater Fly Fishing Art ORIGINAL PAINTINGS section.  Some of the oil and acrylic paintings shown here have been sold but are included in order to show the various ocean themes represented in my work. My paintings are not necessarily only of fish, but scenes that represent the saltwater fly fishing lifestyle, the sights and sounds of adventure on the water and the challenges of the sport. There are images referring to marine landscapes and seascapes that surround you while you share the life of just being outdoors.  Aesthetically, my work most embodies the concepts of the oriental “less is more” philosophy. My sense of composition and color are always present in everything I paint.
